Altar frontal of alto e basso red silk velvet w/ gold lucellato on yellow silk ground c/o multiple widths & piecework, 3 light blue silk tassels at upper center & sides, lower edge & side edged w/ light blue silk fringe, lined in light blue waxed linen, likely Venice, late 15th C- 1520, 27” x 68”, (extensive conservation/repairs up to 26”, broad loss to pile & brocade, heavy wear & loss to trim, 0.25”-0.5” spot stains, tarnish & loss to metallic threads, 3” seam opening center panel, piecing=repairs?)
