2-pc day ensemble in red cotton velveteen c/o blouse w/ round neckline into attached tie, long slv w/lace trim, slash H pockets & matching pleated skirt, c. 1917, B 36”, L 24”, skirt W 28”, L 26”, (hem shortened, broad discoloration, light wear/pile loss W & underarms, repair & few sm frayed seam openings at CF collar, sm spot stains) fair; 2-pc day dress of black silk velvet c/o blouse & skirt trimmed w/ soutache & black jet beading on tulle ground w/ silk embroidery & faceted jet beads, 1920s, B 40”, L 21”, skirt W 34”, L 26”, (light wear/crushing esp. at underarms, few loose/missing beads, few sm holes in net & Wband, minor bead disease, new hanger loops sewn in) very good. Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum.
